Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business - AOP since 2003, where he has served as President of the Department of Economics and a member of the Foundation's Board. Holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He has worked as an Associate Professor at Duke University in the USA and Visiting Professor at INSEAD in France and Singapore. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, a member of the Executive Committee of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics and a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research in London, and an Associate Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Journal of Industrial Economics. He has served as a regular member of the Hellenic Competition Commission and a member of the European Advisory Group for Competition Policy of the European Competition Commission. He has published in leading scientific journals, such as International Economic Review, European Economic Review, Rand Journal of Economics and Review of Economic Studies.
